3 things to expect from your painting company
After the proposals have been received and the contract is awarded, Many of our clients begin to ask themselves the question, "What should I do before they arrive?" and after they begin work, many clients may feel apprehensive in asking the painting contractor to respect certain conditions required to work in their personal spaces. This article will hopefully help settle some of these concerns by giving our future clients
3 things to expect from your chosen painting company.
Mutual Respect
Mutual Respect is fundamental in the formulation of trust and open communication within our personal relationships as well as our business relationships. When it comes to the relationship between the client and residential painting contractor, the way that the client shows respect to the painting company is in the act of communicating clear boundaries and house rules with the painting company's servicemen. Having a plan for objects within the home that need to be moved by the painting service (breakables are already put away, and a general strategy has been considered and plans made for the movement of furniture). The painting company's primary expectations in this area are that..
The painting professionals recognize all boundaries and communicated house rules (shoes off in the house) are accepted and followed gracefully.
the painting professionals understand that their conversations are to be courteous and remain free of opinionated and non-workplace subject matter.
the painting professionals clean up after themselves and their personal belongings/trash with a great attitude.
Cleanliness
The painting company that has been awarded the contract should provide a clean painting service. Painting a house isn't the cleanest of projects to start with, but there are basics that can easily leave the job site safer, cleaner, and more efficient.
the painting professionals should organize all equipment and materials into a centralized location. out of the way of foot traffic.
the painting company should arrive in moderately clean-looking "painter's whites" and should be clean in their personal appearance and hygiene.
the painting company should provide a policy in the area of "clean-up procedure" with a clearly defined time as to when that activity begins in their shift.
The painting company professionals will mitigate all dust from areas outside of the contracted work and have properly explained to the client that process and the efficacy of those procedures.
the painting professionals regularly examine the parking location around their vehicles and maintain the removal and disposal of any and all personal litter, including cigarette butts.
Job site noise
Although job site noise is sometimes unavoidable, it is within reason that the painting contractor gives the client notice before loud tools are used and that the professional painters do not play loud music within or on the outside of the client's residence, including vehicle stereos. This can be offensive to our clients, and as professional painting service providers, we want to show courtesy when providing painting services.
